2020.2 Prosper Georgetown 2020 Economic Summit

This is an invitation for the entire Georgetown community to engage in a conversation about creating shared economic prosperity initiatives, for both employers and employees, that would stimulate workforce stability and help lower-wage workers achieve self-sufficiency.  

Summit schedule includes:
-Meet the leadership of Prosper Georgetown and discover our mission, vision, and goals. 
-Hear from a Georgetown business leader and a worker on their perspectives regarding "The Benefits and Challenges of Shared Economic Prosperity in Georgetown." 
-Share in Round Table conversations among business owners, employers, civic and faith community leaders, workers, service providers and community members about issues impacting shared economic prosperity.  Questions and issues to be addressed include:

"How do you think Georgetown can strengthen the economic prosperity of employers and employees alike?"

"What are the most significant challenges you see facing businesses in Georgetown in terms of hiring and retaining employees?"

"How do you think wages for lower-skilled workers should be determined?"
