2019.11 Managing Misconduct in the #MeToo Era

Protect Against Fraud and Sexual Misconduct

In this social climate, it is critical that we educate ourselves on the ways in which people throughout our organizations can abuse their power for personal gain at the expense of colleagues and the organization itself.  Abuses vary from coercing colleagues to misrepresent business metrics, to shaming or demoting those who question decisions, to sexual harassment in its many forms.

The consequences of such abuses in the workplace can be devastating.  A toxic culture leads to high turnover, loss of trust, loss of productivity when reeling from the emotional impacts, destruction of reputations, careers and families. Then there's potential jail time or personal fines for the abusive leader and complicit parties which result in brand/public relations nightmares and a drop in company valuations.

Stephanie shares her personal experience, academic research, and original models to illuminate areas of liability, shame, and blame. You'll learn how you can protect yourself, your colleagues, and your organization from covert ways that abuse of power happens in the workplace.

Participants will learn:
